"I'm not sure I can truly do justice to all of the wonderful things about Andrea's Patreon community, but I will try!
I was looking for a way to improve my Spanish-speaking skills and increase my confidence ahead of a trip to Mexico when I learned about Andrea's Patreon page. I had seen quite a bit of her teaching work on other platforms, and I already thought very highly of her. Once I joined, I was overwhelmed by everything she brought to the community.
First, if you've seen videos of her previously, she is every bit as warm, witty, and hilarious as you are used to. She brings an incredible level of energy to every encounter, whether it is through her videos, her posts, her live streams, or her group classes. No matter how nervous you might be to dive into learning, she will put you at ease and put a smile on your face. She makes it so easy to learn, and to want to keep learning!
But another quality that really stands out is just how prepared she is for every class. She manages to strike the perfect balance between having the right level of structure to keep everyone engaged and involved, and being spontaneous to maintain a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The entire time, students are learning the essentials of the Spanish language without feeling like they're sitting in a classroom.
She has created an environment where every student at every level of Spanish feels comfortable and safe to be themselves. And through her Discord community, many of us have become friends, enjoying talking to one another about the Spanish language, Latin American culture, and perhaps most importantly, FOOD!
There's no question that I will continue to be part of everything Andrea is doing for us long after my trip. I never imagined I would be enjoying myself this much while opening up a new world of language for myself. I will forever be grateful for Andrea's hard work, encouragement, and inspiration. I would emphatically encourage anyone working on their Spanish to sign up and join us!"

“I found Andrea’s videos through Dreaming Spanish, and for me, hers were always the most engaging and easiest to understand and learn from. I started following her YouTube channel and then decided to join her Patreon because I wanted to support the amazing work she does. But more than that, I wanted to challenge myself by being part of a learning community.
The online classes are great fun, well-organized, and we laugh a lot (and learn Spanish, too!). I was pretty nervous at first, but the environment is very comfortable and welcoming, regardless of your level of Spanish. I also decided to work with Andrea in individual classes for cross-talk. She always comes to our classes with a plan, but is flexible enough to set it aside when I end up moving in a different direction.
I’ve appreciated Andrea’s ability to take my everyday experiences and turn them into “teachable moments” and then to carry those across different classes. Through it all, I’ve improved my comprehension and gotten more confident in myself and what I’ve been learning. Soon I’ll be making the jump into speaking Spanish, and I can’t imagine a better place to do that than here. Come join us – it’s totally worth it!”

“Like many people, I've had a long and winding road on my Spanish learning journey. From a couple years here or there in grade school, to a long on-and-off again relationship with Duolingo, I never found anything that really stuck with me.
I finally decided to register for an in-person Spanish class at a local education center, but it was everything I disliked about language learning classes: a heavy focus on reading and rote memorizing. In frustration, I went on a deep dive of the web and discovered the concept of Comprehensible Input, and Andrea La Mexicana. After a couple hundred of hours of CI, I reached out to Andrea to see if she did lessons. We had a quick meeting, and she suggested that I join her learning club. I was hesitant at first, since I thought one-on-one lessons were the only way I could really progress. But I took a gamble and signed up for a year of ALM Patreon. And that was the best decision I've made in a long time.
The community Andrea fosters is unlike any learning environment I’ve been part of before. There is genuine support from everyone involved, and I've never felt like I'm judged for my level of Spanish, my pronunciation, or my reliance on crosstalk style participation.
Andrea’s approach has given me exactly what I was missing: immersion and consistency. Her classes are engaging, dynamic, and fun, and the variety (especially the game club!) keeps me looking forward to learning. Even at my intermediate level, I feel more confident joining conversations with my native Spanish-speaking colleagues, and they’ve noticed my progress too.
Being part of this warm and diverse community has helped me come out of my shell as a language learner. I feel comfortable and confident speaking in the classes, knowing there’s no judgment for mistakes. That freedom lets me take risks, learn from them, and grow without fear of negative repercussions. For anyone who’s struggled with traditional methods or lost motivation, I can’t recommend her community highly enough.”

“I first discovered Andrea La Mexicana on YouTube while I was learning Spanish on my own. That journey can feel slow and isolating, so when she mentioned her Patreon and group classes, I was intrigued. One weekend, I finally decided to join—and I haven’t looked back since.
Andrea’s group classes are the perfect balance of learning and fun. She creates a space where no one feels judged, no matter their level. If you forget a word, switch into English out of excitement, or need extra help to understand something, it’s never a problem. Her classes are full of creativity, good energy, and encouragement that keep you motivated.
The community Andrea has built is just as special. On Discord, there’s always a place to connect, laugh, and nerd out about Spanish with people who are just as motivated as you are. The weekly student-led classes add another layer of fun and keep the pressure low, making it easy to practice without fear.
What Andrea has created is everything you could hope for in a language-learning community: patient, kind, funny, supportive, and full of energy. If you’re looking for a way to deepen your Spanish journey, stay motivated, and actually enjoy the process, Andrea La Mexicana is the person to learn with.”

“¡Hola! My name is Daryl and I live in England. I’ve been a Corazón Mexicano member since early January. I wanted the fullest Andrea La Mexicana option available and to support Andrea on her giant leap into full-time independent working.
I was nervous going into my first lesson with her but those nerves quickly settled. She’s just as nice & friendly as you might imagine. When the call starts she always addresses each person individually by name to ask how they’re doing before getting into the meat of the lesson, which feels really nice and personable. Nowadays the nerves have turned into excitement! Each lesson is a lot of fun, and her & her team always make sure the students have the best time.
She primarily speaks in Spanish - very rarely resorting to English unless required. If you say that you didn’t understand a word, she often explains what it is in a different way (also in Spanish) to help you ‘click’. If you are still struggling a bit, she will ask if someone in class knows what it means. Perhaps it’s a word no-one in class has come across before so we can all learn something new, which has happened a few times.
Her Discord is also a great place to hang out, accessible for the price of just one coffee-to-go a month. It’s super active with other students and the ALM team. We learn from each other, discuss our cultures, joke with each other and create things just for the community. Some student-run classes have also started for a bit of extra learning between Andrea’s classes, which are great fun and are open to absolutely anyone at any ability for only the cost of an hour of your time!
Overall I give the experience 11/11 (10 just isn’t quite enough!) and would recommend her to absolutely anyone wishing to learn Spanish.” 😊

“Like I believe many others, I had a desire to learn a new language. Since I had been to Spain a few times, it felt natural that it would be the language I wanted to learn!
I started slowly with platforms to help me learn new words and to listen to stories in Spanish about everyday life. The problem was that after a while I got stuck and felt like it was slipping away from me. The frustration of not being able to interact with other people made me feel alone on my journey and I slowly began to lose interest.
But through one of the platforms I was using I finally found Andrea’s Patreon, and I haven’t looked back since. Through her Patreon I’ve been given a genuine chance to really learn and understand Spanish in a way I never had before. It’s a wonderful community of people I dare to call my friends. We share everything from funny to sad moments together while we actually learn. Andrea is someone who, with ease, clarity and love, guides you and teaches you!
I can’t recommend this site enough! Hope to see you in the future.”

“I first got to know Andrea through her videos on Dreaming Spanish, and I always really enjoyed them. The effort and creativity she put into her character-driven stories was amazing, and they always stood out to me. I was genuinely saddened when I learned she had left Dreaming Spanish, but I was thrilled to discover that she had her own Patreon.
Since joining, I honestly can’t recommend Andrea’s Patreon enough. Her classes are the perfect mix of being super informative and fun. There are always plenty of laughs and jokes, and it never feels like Andrea is just trying to cram everything into the scheduled hour—she’s incredibly generous with her time. I can honestly say that I actively look forward to the online classes each month. They never fail to put a smile on your face and, when needed, give you that little motivation boost to keep learning Spanish.
One of the real highlights is the amazing community she has built. The Discord is such a valuable space, not only for advice and practice but also just to connect, share experiences, and have a laugh. There are even student-run classes, which—like Andrea’s own—are always no-pressure environments. Want to speak Spanish? Great. Want to speak English? Totally fine. Want to mix it up with Spanglish? Go for it!
From the very start, I felt completely welcomed by Andrea, her team, and the fantastic existing community she’s fostered. Andrea is always well prepared, and she runs her classes at a comfortable, approachable pace. Most importantly, she creates an environment where people can be themselves while enjoying the process of learning.
There’s so much more I could say, but to put it simply: Andrea la Mexicana’s Patreon is a fantastic experience, both for learning and for community. If you’re considering joining, do it—you won’t regret it!”

“I used to think I’d have to wait until retirement to take on a new language. Instead, I started at 51, and two years later, I’m speaking Spanish at a high-intermediate level at home with my Peruvian-born partner. What a joy!
It’s with Andrea La Mexicana that it all came together. Andrea makes learning feel natural—her group sessions are full of laughter, values, and humour. You forget you’re in a class.
The team behind her mountain of content and innovative Patreon offerings deserves credit too. They bring warmth, energy, and attention to detail that make the community even stronger.
Because of Andrea La Mexicana, I’ve accomplished a goal I once thought out of reach. And just like her weekly and monthly offerings, there is always more to come with Andrea.”
